When you park a mile away, and someone parks right next to you.. thats me.

I will park near other nice new cars that are far away because I know they wont open their doors into my truck.

But, funny story, my wife hates when we take my truck because we have to park so far away from everything.

Yea, I drive the wife crazy. She will say "there's one" each time she see's one. There are some places I absolutely refuse to go to. Although now that I have sliders that might change. I want to test the door ding situation out with my car first.

I had a Jeep XJ that I beat on and hit the cab so hard on a rock that the door made a popping noise every time I opened it; learned my lesson.

Very first mod on the Tacoma were weld-on rock sliders before I took it off road.

Yeah, since 99% of the wheels that people put on our trucks aren't expensive. The most expensive wheels I've seen on our trucks are Volks, which are kind of mid range price in the import-tuning world. Those are ~2k a set. I left the german world where people were paying 2-3k per wheel for custom 3 piece wheels.

Im looking to get some side armor too, but since I dont really offroad that much im just going to get some "steps" that stick out far enough.
These are the ones Im actaully thinking of.

they are aluminum, and I like that they are more boxy than the tube ones.

The most offroading I do is dirt service roads or maybe over a farm field.

Yea, I knew for a fact my dumb ass would break something or damage something costing more money to fix so that is why I waiting until I had some armor. I plan on putting my skid plates on too very soon. I have all three Mobtown Aluminum (with reinforcing) skids. At least I'll have the sides and bottom protected. I'll just stay away from head on collisions with boulders and trees and watch coming off ledges.

Yea, anybody that can afford to wheel in a 3 or even 2 piece wheel has way too much money. That's insane. Those are pretty wheels though. I like the colors.

I'm selling my OEM Predator side steps. Mint condition. They offer some protection for sure. They are a more natural step too. Where you located?

Ahhh, then those ones you have picked out should be perfect. They are really nice looking. It's great they are aluminum. You're gonna need that up there. :D

    Only at the entrance/exit.

The good news is, after filing a police report its covered with a $0 deductible, my rate won’t go up and I’ll get to drive a crappy rental for a while. Time to see how Kia Soul’s handle off-road :mudding:

My wife had a kia soul for a few years, she loved that thing, but we had to get rid of it when we had kids. Couldnt fit 2 babies and a stroller in there.

Well, if you plan on wheeling they are almost a must. Depending on the locations you go and the type of wheeling you do.

For me (for now) they make my Mall Rated Taco better.
