The dealership absolutely made money on that warranty, they are in business to do so......
And that is where most hatred comes from with many people. They want to blame someone else after the fact for not educating themselves before a major purchase.

Trade it in, take a small loss, move on. That truck is a turd. You can’t polish a turd.

Wait so you went in to complain about a fixed truck and then they SOLD you an extended warranty o_O Man Toyota Dealers are shady. They know they have Tacoma buyers by the balls, and when they don't they'll just move to the next buyer. Key givaway would of been that it wasn't certified.

OP you should be fine, you can't touch a used Pro around here for under 43k. If the truck starts giving you problems then trade it in. You can also cancel the extended warranty at anytime.

You realize he went in to complain about the truck and then the Dealer got him to spend another $1500.

I do...and I’m not talking about the OP. He seems happy with how this ended up, at the end of the day that is all that matters. His money, his truck.

I was referring to the other posters, every thread around here turns into.....dealerships are crooks.

LOL! You are saying that for your trouble and their lack of transparency, they went as far as to sell you a maintenance package? How thoughtful.

Reman trans is often better than factory. They have been broken, then fixed and gone through and tweaked more extensively than a stock one which was slapped together with new parts.

Of course it depends on who did the work.
