I T boned a lady yesterday and I will need to replace my winch cradle and maybe winch and/or winch rope. It looks like it took 100% of the hit. I dont remember what brand cradle I have. I would like to also know what other vendors here have winch cradles. Any suggestions. 56651861428__A72F4923-4AB2-45CD-A59B-1B0FFA45CCDE.jpg IMG_4193 (1).jpg

I would trust a Warn cradle. What kind of winch is under there?

Was every one ok? And yes i would go with a warn cradle. But i would do behind the bumper. Sticking out like that it would be gone around here.

I have a hitch pin lock. Don’t want to go behind the bumper. I take it off periodically and I already have the cbi hidden hitch. Yes every one was ok. The lady was really shaken.

Still looks functional to me, just has a little character now. Does it still work?

What’s the update on this? Did the winch survive? I would still replace the cradle, it’s hard to tell if the welds are damaged and any deformation of the metal will only weaken it.

You could give up the last 1 foot of winch rope and splice in a new thimble, instead of replacing the whole line....if the rest of the line looks good and didn't take any impact.

What’s going on there? Hidden winch damage I assume? My winch (and honestly bumper) we’re both fine after a t-bone last month. The grill/plastic bumper? Not so much...D5BF78D0-ECD8-4950-B90D-8D0E920C23F5.jpg

1st time using that winch after a minor fender bender.

I ended up selling the truck. Keeping the winch and cradle for now. But sell the hidden mount. It’s in excellent shape.
