+1 for pliny and rrbc. Also bear republic. If you want to go farther north eel river is good, good food and a great coastal view to do an over nighter.

Yeah it's our downhill pump track, I mean flow trail. It's a good time but there's better riding out there. Just don't tell the ranger about it :)

I still don't think Iron Springs' beers are very good though. But Split Rock Tap and Wheel has a good beer rotation, and of course Gestalt Haus is the classic post-ride hang out.

I feel like there were a lot of places that were getting away with B+ beers for a long time because of locale and just under-saturation of the market. Now it's a whole new time. No messing around. There are a lot of great beers easily accessible wherever you look. Gestalt has Spaten which I love, and hot dogs!

The breweries listed here are making excellent IPAs.
Fieldwork in Berkely, Heretic in Fairfield for a couple that haven't been mentioned yet. Auburn- Moonraker and Knee Deep, Sacramento - New Glory and Moksa(Rocklin), Revision in Sparks, NV is arguably the best in all of the Region. Alvarado Street in Monterey.
The beer game here is strong.

If you ever find yourself in the city (SF), 21st Ammendment is a dope spot with good IPAs.

Try and schedule a tour at Anchor Brewing. Short but fun. All you can drink at the end of it, basically.

Since you like IPA's check out Bike Dog or River City if you're in the Sacramento area. My Bf and I go for the IPA category as well.

If you ever make it out to Alameda, we got Faction Brewing which puts out a lot of good beers. If you're also feeling adventurous, we also have St. George Distillery right next door to that as well as Admiral Maltings and its tap room. They supply malt to brewers and the brewers in turn supply them with a beer that was manufactured from their malt, so they have quite the diverse menu.

Thanks czach. We'll be sure to put those on the list the next time we're down there, which we were just talking about last weekend. We're into road trips and the one-off places that don't necessarily sell to stores.

It's not that you won't find some faction items in stores, but there are some things they serve that you can only get at their brewery.

I almost forgot, there's also Alameda Island Brewing Company. A lot smaller and sells locally but they have some decent brews and experiments as well.

Nice! Bike Dog and Auburn Alehouse are like that, too.
