There is a proper orientation on which end is the front, but no they are not side specific.

Typically one puts the "higher specd" spring on the driver side and the lesser specd spring on the passenger side to combat taco lean.

OME specs their springs with a + - or O .... + being above spec spring rate, - being below, O being spec. Person above has two O's so it wont matter.

You are correct that is the custom to prevent the lean. BUT they aren't actually side specific.

All good info appreciate it! Does the kit from headstrong include the leaf bushings when the rest comes? Got 90000/886 coilovers coming to accompany the rest, Not sure and curious if I need to think ahead

If you're asking about the bushings that go in the leaf springs, the seller should have asked if you wanted to purchase them. Unless you purchased specifically, I doubt they are coming. You can either re-use the OEM ones, or order new ones. I would highly recommend getting new ones. They should only be like $20 from Toyota. Look at your local dealer's website and see if you can order online and pickup in store. They are usually cheaper online than ordering at the counter (and mine won't price match their own website).

This is old, but just to clarify

If you got the rear leaf pack package the bushing and sleeves are included along with the carrier bearing drop and the ubolts. The packs ship UPS and the hardware ships USPS. Both the USPS and UPS tracking would be provided to you via email and the invoice will outline the items you will receive.

Does anyone know if 096 leaf work with a 4 inch lift. I have a chance to pick some up pretty cheap. Thanks

    Don't know why it wouldn't.

You probably want the heavy duty pack to get the back as close to the front as possible.
