Adjusted it just now and WOW what a difference! Mine was set low from the factory I guess, but it moved up about 2"! It's almost touching the head liner now.
    Thanks for the help!

Try a Chevy. I have a Chevy company truck and A pillars are huge.

In keeping with the spirit of TW where the solution to every issue is to spend more money... have you tried the blackout version of Pyramid Bros A pillars? Replacement for the OEM. Waaay thinner and better looking then the original. Also, try installing HTRJ look around mirrors by the company Ray Charles. Meant to be mounted on your LED rooftop bar. Don't have a rooftop bar yet, but I am sure there are others that can chime in on how to lighten your wallet!

I would bet that those who think the A pillars are fine are too young to know anything different.
The visibility in this thing is terrible compared to anything else from 20-30 years ago. And obviously there are much worse modern vehicles out there.

Safety? I've rolled an 86 4Runner (where the A pillars are barely there) and the truck literally landed on the top corner of one A pillar, and it was fine.
If the 3rd gen A pillars are necessary, it's only because of all the other dumb regulations that have bloated these trucks to 150% of what their weight would be 30 years ago.

Just a gen2 TRD shift knob so far. Anxiously awaiting ovTune 1.05 with handheld tuner!
It's less about the size and more about the rake and seat position. It's a steep angle with a high-positioned seat. The pillar isnt any bigger than other vehicles... but it is close. So being closer to the eye it appears larger and hides larger objects.

This truck has some of the best 360° visibility all around I've experienced. Far better than my '17 civic hatchback or family member's crv or tiguan.

Close calls, I've had a few.
Hope they redesign it without compromising the reasons it was design like it is in the first place.

    Tall order I know, but...

I bet the goofy Snorkel on the new Pro's would hinder the sight lines too.

While this is true, the safety regulations have also guaranteed saved many lives that would have been lost in accidents in a 86' 4Runner, especially T-bones and frontal collisions. Fatalities have been constantly dropping nationwide which is impressive considering how much more driving we're all doing and how much faster vehicles are nowdays. The efficacy of the safety cannot be argued unfortunately.

This is the third time it’s happened...so you were already put on notice on two prior occasions...yeah the liability is on you and not Toyota.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
Maybe you should give up your Taco for something on this list -- Or keep the taco and get one on the list for your other vehicle like we did (Subaru Outback)
    https://www.consumerreports.org/cars-cars-with-the-best-and-worst-visibility/
I notice the Taco IS NOT on their "worst" list. That should be some relief to you>

The 'A' Pillar is a huge blind spot. More so with the Tacoma in comparison to other cars I've owned. As car manufacturers improve upon safety features (lane change assist, pedestrian alert, blind spot monitoring) this should mitigate some issues.

With that said, this will be the response from the majority of TW users:
    "I'm a good driver, I don't need safety features.....6-speed MT vroom vroom"
