Get a TRD model if you can at all afford it. The seats are SOOOO much better.

i disagree about the seats being "sooo much better" my buddy has a trd OR and the sr5 seats feel better to me (to each their own). get what you truly want or else you will end up regretting it later. I personally like my sr5. don't put trd stickers on a truck if it isn't truly a trd. sockmonkey makes good looking sr5 stickers if you must have a sticker back there.

If you really want the color matched parts of the truck like the rear bumper, side mirrors, door handles, etc. then go for the TRD Sport. It would be a whole lot easier to just buy the package instead of piecing it together, IMO. As for the seats, the real difference is the lumbar support. The Sport & Offroad packages have seats that have good lumbar support (more snug around the midsection) whereas the SR5 has more of a basic seat without the lumbar features IIRC, and they won't feel as "fitting" or snug around you as the Sport seats would. Not sure where you can get a hood scoop, but to get stickers I'd exclusively recommend Sockmonkey here on TW, he's a great guy and makes some awesome stickers/decals.

If you want all the color matched parts I would def hold out for a Sport model. Finding a hood with a scoop, all door handles, front & rear bumpers, color matched grille will be a PITA. Plus the seats are way better in the TRD models IMO. It shouldn't be too hard to find one. I found mine on Craigslist, for $16,000 but it had 85k!!! on it, I only had to look for like 2 weeks before I found it. But I'm really happy I waited until I found the exact one I wanted. Every time I get in the truck I think of how much I love this truck, and when I see another Taco that is like mine but not lifted, or not a sport model I'm reminded of why I love MY Tacoma so much.

As stated above, don't settle, get the truck you want the first time. Don't try to piece it together, that's just a waste of money/time. Oh yeah, and good luck on your search!!!!!:)
