After months of trying to use the ridiculous thing Toyota says is supposed to hold my gas cap, only to watch my gas cap fall off and slam into the side of my truck, I decided to purchased the famed Gas Hole by MESO Customs.

I was disappointed when I went to their web site and found that the 3rd Gen Gas Hole was SOLD OUT. I can only blame TW for this. As soon as someone finds a great mod they blast it out on the forums and everybody has to rider it and keep ordering it until all inventory is depleted.

Here is the purpose of my rant: Yesterday at about 8pm (pst) I sent MESO Customs an email asking when they would have the 3rd Gen Gas Hole in stock and at 8:29pm Stew responded. The email was short and to the point, “Soon. I’m transitioning from 3D print versions to full injection molded. -stew.” This is great customer service and lives up to all the hype TW members have boasted about.

Now I can patiently wait for the Gas Hole to be restocked.

I’ll try and squeeze out another short run of them(3D print) in the meantime to hold you guys over, but I am cutting the mold for the new versions right now. The injection mold it’s going to be super clean, as good as OEM....if Toyota made their own Gasshole:rofl:

After crying myself to sleep every night for a couple weeks, I got the Honda one. It will go on today. Then when my wife forgets about all the stuff I’ve ordered recently, and they are back in stock... I will sneak in and order mine! Muwahahaha...

Is this a 3rd gen issue? My 15 has a little hook I hang the leash from.

Y'all are funny. First, it's a side project for a TW member, not a mass produced thing sold at every autozone. Second, it's a fucking gas cap holder. Chill out.

I think at least MESO understands most of the “complaints” or “pushy demand” is joking and maybe giving him a hard time. Everyone waits patiently for his stuff and I haven’t seen anyone legitimetly pissed or anything about him being out of stuff. He has a ton of very popular products and we understand it’s a side gig.

You’re probably the only one that actually needs to relax.

You are correct. Even the 3rd gen has a leash. The purpose and justification for the Gasshole has been beaten to death in other threads. Is it for everyone? No. Is it a cool little mod to help out a small business/TW member? You bet.
Although I will say it’s a much more solid and secure mount for the cap than the hanging string. Plus you can tell you friends to checkout your Gasshole:)
P.s, I bet everyone has spent $20 on something less useful lol

3rd Gen has the same hook; some folks just either don't realize it or prefer to mod. I've managed to get through life so far - 10 years with a Gen 2 and now six months with a Gen 3 - but the mod-whore in me is thinking about an upgrade! :D

Interesting stuff here. My 2018 Volvo (and I know many other vehicles) doesn't even have a gas cap - just a flapper. Maybe that's not considered a good idea for a more commercial/off road type vehicle?

Aren't you kind of doing what you're blaming TW for? Now because of you telling people that its gonna be in stock, people are gonna start "black Friday camping" for it and wait for it to go on sale. Thanks for making it harder for people to get their hands on a MESO product. For shaaammmeeee!!
