    Hi all, need some expertise:

I’m looking for replacement struts / coil overs and rear shocks for my 3rd gen Tacoma SR5 V6 (RWD) to accommodate a steel plate bumper (fab fours premium) with winch (~200LBS) I feel that the stock shocks aren’t loaded enough for this added weight, what do y’all think would be sufficient?

Im considering maybe just a pair of front old man EMU 886 (heavy duty) OME 2” lift coil overs since I don’t plan on doing any serious off roading just dampening the front end enough for normal city driving and sometimes moderate terrain / gravel country roads

700lbs springs paired with a proper shock of your choice would do.

5100s with @Dobinsons Mike coil springs is what I’m going with. I have a sos full hoop bumper with 9.5k winch. Currently running the 5100s with stock coils on 4th notch and with the added weight I’m almost back at stock height. Installing coils as soon as I have the time.

Hey man! I recommend the Dobinsons GS59-221 struts and C59-352 coils for around 2" of lift up front. I ran those on my truck and was very impressed. I also prefer the ride quality of the Dobinsons struts over OME which is very firm. I hope this helps!
