This is the build of my first car, I still own it. My mom had bought this new in 97. Its a 4door automatic. Around 2005 it became my first car. Not the car I would have chosen but it was great as it only had 120hp and all weight front bais with no rear sway bar. It has taught me much in terms of weight transfer and understeer when I was driving on my own.

Sadly there wasnt much mods for power at the time and a year or so later I got my 4runner and kept this as a spare since the resell value was super low at the time. Glad I kept it as I keep hearing a consistent thing where people much older than me keep saying they wished they'd kept their first car. So my intentions are to make this into a good autocrosser. Go back to maybe March of 2018 and it was super cold in San Antonio and I had let me uncle borrow it since his 03 Silverado did not have a working heater. A few days after he had backed into a pole.

So for awhile I was unsure what to do. I went to try a get a door but its get harder to get. I went to a pick and pull and got the 'most good' rear door I could find in the whole city.

I didnt do much since then as it's at my uncles house and hadnt had time to deal with it. Recently I cut the old door off as the lock was both broken and in a bind.

So now im going to paint the green door so it doesnt look too roadkill. Once I have it back at my house ill go though to make it run might throw in a new gas tank just because and swap in a 3sgte and a manual transmission. Id like to unroadkill my rav4 this year. We shall see right @Torspd?

So step 1.2 into unroadkilling my rav4 is to replace the battery. I had bought this brand new last year to make sure the rav4 would start everytime my uncle needed it. Guess we can see how that turned out. I put in a thing of red line fuel system cleaner. I also took the battery out to replace it. I clean the terminals and applied some grease for protection. For now I'll get a new battery and replace the fuel filter, spark plugs and wires, check the coolant i had replaced the radiator and t stat last year so it should be ok. And lastly the engine oil and trans fluid. Once I have it running ill check the brakes.

I agree. The lack of weight makes it feel so much fun even though your not going fast.

It really does. I pulled the back seats recently going to make a drawer system for the back of it. I really like that I found one that was taken care of and had a mint interior. I also like your back hatch replacement documentation. I’d like to get a Molle panel or something made up to take the place of the plastic trim piece

It has that many spare parts that it needs a trailer to haul them? It doesn't drive?
