GRINDING NOISE COMING FROM DRIVER SD FRONT WHEEL!!

I recall someone having a similar issue a while back. It was a copper bushing in manual locking hubs.

 

Hey tony2018 I realize it's been awhile since you wrote ur comment, but what do you know about replacing that copper bushing in the spindle? I have a rubbing noise coming from my drivers side front wheel. But it only makes the noise when I lock the hubs. I took off the hub and made sure that there was grease in there and went ahead and repacked the bearings hoping that would that care of it. But it didn't. And it doesn't make the noise all the time. Just out of the blue no matter of the speed and will just start making a rubbing sound then might stop. Or if I stop and then start to go it might not start making the noise for a little bit. And it only does it when the hubs are locked. I read somewhere where a guy had the same problem and it was that bushing you are talking about. He said he replaced it with a needle bearing. Do you know anything about it? Anyone
