    There's really not that much difference between the 2nd and 3rd gen, but just enough to know the difference when it comes to ordering specific parts.     That's one of the issue I have. I did not want a swing out. I use my truck too much for dog hauling. In and out of the bed. I keep my spare (34") where the factory intended. Then pull it when doing serious off roading. I just throw it in the back. With a shell on the bed there aren't a whole lot of options. It'll work for now. I mostly travel light, and alone. Unless I bring the nephew.
