I'm still fairly new to Denver, and have done some hikes but not really any offroading yet. My Accutune lift should be coming in in the next week or so, but I'd like to see what a stock DCLB Offroad can do first. Any suggestions?

I have these books for the regions- they work very well for me.

Yeah I bought one of the books when I moved here and visited Toytec. And dammit.....you're right about wheeling alone. I have wheeling experience, I used to go to Hidden Falls outside of Austin in my Jeep, but I usually went with someone and my Jeep is better set up. I need to get some winter experience though first before I think of going alone. Thanks, I'll watch the thread.

A really fun drive is Rampart Range Road! You can get there from many places from just South of Denver and it is a nice drive. A "civic" could to it!

Bail out on Mt Herman Road that spits you out in Monument and you will have a fun time.

Nothing Serious as far as crawling but a Great Road to drive!

You can also spit out to the west on several trails to head up 67.

Again EASY PEASY drive but pretty scenic and you can then determine if you want to go elsewhere!

Stock truck is EASY. Prius...yes but might get stuck....LOL......

I imagine Rampart Range is all but closed for the season at this point.

Trails Offroad says that entries to Rampart Range are limited in the winter and the best ways to get there are through Woodland Park or Mount Herman Road. Also, I ran this trail last spring and it was EXTREMELY washboarded in many areas. Maybe they have done some maintenance on it, but it is not a trail that I would want to return back to.

Mount Herman was fine for the Jeep. Shouldn't be a problem for the Tacoma stock. This weekend we will try to do it (work permitting)
