Another vibration thread...NO LIFT

    Whats up everyone, have a question. i have a slight vibration in the front end of the truck. 2011 access cab tx pro. It's more of a sound then anything. I would not have even noticed it was there except that it goes away when turning to the right, only to the right not left. First thought was tire out of balance, rotated tires and cleaned the inside of the wheel (i live on a mud/gravel road) vibration is still there. it does not go away when applying brakes or get worse. any thoughts before i pull stuff apart this weekend? also no slack or slop in the steering wheel, and is the same in 4wd. thanks in advance for any advice or redirect to a thread that may have addressed this

    thought that too, but brake pressure doesnt make it worse. the last time i drove something with bad bearing the steering wheel shook when applying brakes. will def. check them out though. thanks for the reply!

    The difference of how it feels (or sounds) now versus the time it shook the vehicle when braking is probably just the degree in which the bearing was shot. Sounds like yours isn't as bad...yet.

    I think the general rule of thumb is; if it gets quiet when turning right, it's the left side wheel bearing (and the opposite). So I'd focus your inspection of the drivers side and see how that feels, see how the rest of the suspension on that front is doing too. Good luck!

    spot on guys, driver side wheel bearing. anybody had have any good things to say about aftermarket? or oem all the way?

    Stay far far away from any aftermarket, especially China bearings, unless you open the box and you see the word KOYO inscribed in the steel of the race on the side of the bearing. They are the OEM bearing and for a long time the only manufacturer so all front bearings whether white box or in a Toyota box or anything else were the same.

    But, there is more. Toy quietly introduced a new wheel bearing with an additional roller in each side and longer rollers. It is part number
    $173 43570-04011 Axle Bearing Assembly, Front
    43570-04011     and if you plan on keeping your truck for a long time or off road it would be worthy of consideration. I have unofficially be calling it the heavy duty bearing for lack of a better term

    For sure man, I've been keeping an eye on them, with my trucks mileage (130K) I'm guessing I'll need them in the next few years.

    see that was what threw me, mine only has 65,000 and some change. Wouldn't think one would be bad already. But, is what it is.
