Any updates on if the Halo9 will install on a 2019 Pro?

Can't wait to see the new one. If it has wireless android Auto, I might upgrade just for that and sell my current one.

Update on the new Alpine Halo9 unit from CES

Not a lot of details. No wireless Carplay/AndroidAuto. Is it really 2019?

They released a downgraded version of the Halo9 it seems, but with customizable interface.

Agreed. It’s cool but not impressed. Alpine has better things being released that a cheaper halo.

I'm kinda bummed as this unit was almost perfect, it really just needed 2 things, HD screen and wireless Android auto. Was hoping Alpine would improve on last year's design.

I'm seriously thinking about this head unit but I was wondering if the screen can be mounted back against the dash or if the pictures already posted here where it's floating is the furthest it will go. I don't mind it sticking out a bit but I'd really prefer it make contact with the dash to hide everything behind it.

I'm also thinking of a way to connect the camera switcher to something like this to flip between the rear and front cameras but keep a stock toggle button look.

It has to float or you won't be able to access the bolts behind to tighten it. That toggle should work to flip between cameras. Just need to make it toggle the + video wire.

Just joined the "no knob" club. Went with Type R speakers front/rear, JL Stealthbox and 5-Channel Alpine amp.

I swore there was a setting with the ever so lame Entune where you could change lock settings with the touch to unlock door handle on my 2019 TRD Sport.. may have missed it when messing with it earlier.

Is yours pushed in more ? This pic makes it look like there’s no gap . I was thinking about this unit as well. Does it vibrate at all or is it pretty rock solid ?

    Too much.
So I'm in the market for a Halo, and am looking at this one:

    https://www.crutchfield.com/p_500ILXF259/Alpine-iLX-F259.html

And I have specific questions for those that are using the Android Auto:

    1. Can you listen to music off of a USB, WHILE using Waze via Android Auto?
    2. Is the back up camera on the head unit on demand without using any add ons (I'm using the Beat Sonic camera on demand module right now with the entune)

    Thanks!

Also feel free to answer up in this thread as well:

Got this installed. But neither one of the mice work. Nobody can hear me. I unplugged the mic from the unit. And tried using the factory one no luck. Plugged back in the mic from the headunit and no luck. Any advise?

I did that. Unplugged it. Plugged back in. There's a white label labeled mic in. I'm gonna try and find another mic and see if the mic is bad.

That is the process of elimination. Of the thousands upon thousands of radios I have installed, its RARE but it is a thing. Like less that 5 but it does happen

Yes. I just installed on in mine. Still configuring it.

When you program you Maestro, you need to enter the serial of the radio- BUT only enter the serial starting after the "A". Example R1234567
