    Most of the time i have been base lining the truck.

    New starter
    Spark plugs/wires/coils
    full fluid swap (engine, transfer, difs, coolant, trans, etc)
    Gutted all of the carpet and seats and replace with some corbeau sport seats
    New Headlights
    New gril
    Painting everything black....
    shifter bushing swap
    etc

    God damn. I already got my head wrapped around the lexus and then you pull out this shit lol. I'm liking it. Wouldn't mind downgrading to a cheaper truck but I already ordered my OME BP-51s with the free upper control arms that I pray work well. Good work on the carpet BTW. Looks smooth an seems like its snug.

    Yea I've been intrigued by the idea of a cheap truck for a long time but never had the guts to do it. The Lexus was me safely dipping my toe into that realm. It was super clean and its a Landcruiser so...... pretty much bomb proof! It all changed when I went up to Estes Park in the LC and met up with a buddy of mine who was in a 3rd gen 4runner that he bought for $700 and built into an awesome offroad machine. We spend the weekend talking about the 3rd gen 4runners and after that, I was hooked. I hit craigslist once I got home and within a couple of months, I found this one!

    This is the 4runner that started it all..... Buddy bought it for $700 and built it into this machine. Love these trucks and I'm addicted now! they are so incredibly easy to work on!

    I was looking at the first picture not knowing there were more thinking to myself, "How is this regular ass 4runner an offroad monster. Its looks the same as one you can buy off the street". Then I scrolled down and saw the sweet ride. I'm sure he's done a ton to it but in the end still saved a ton of money. Tell him I said good job. Props for making something out of not much.

    Looks awesome!

    If you haven't already, check your lower ball joints for play. 1st gen taco/3rd gen runners are prone to catastrophic lbj failure if they aren't replaced when they should be. Like, tire falls off going down the hwy catastrophic. Don't let yours get to that point. Haha.

    Already replace everything on the front end. Ball joints upper and lower, bushings, etc. Yea i saw those photos of that failure and was like NOPE!!!
