S/C more than likely. I want to turbo but don’t want to headache of tuning plus I DD mine. I’m having a fully ported F1 Head with SS valves and Stage one cam all installed with 10-1 Forged pistons all balanced.

My end game is to park this and long travel for fun. But we all know how that goes lol

S/C and Turbo are both F/I... proper steps to have the engine run correctly is needed for both. Best "Pro" with turbo over the S/C, is that it gets and intercooler. Whereas the S/C doesn't.

Even if only following the defficient status quo of just adding injectors, a fuel pump, and no tuning, then you'll at least have cooler charge air than with the s/c.

Whichever is chosen, protect your investment with some form of tuning, and method of cooling the charge air, to prevent knock.

In the diesel world where I live a lot. The tuning is so much more simple to me. Rail pressures, Timing, Boost, Drive Pressure, and EGTs can be documented so much more easily. No need for stand alone units etc etc. With that being said, On our trucks once you fabricate, add, build the harness, get everything talking it becomes a little bit easier if you know what you are looking at. Just call me lazy lol

I still haven't kicked out the idea of a low boost turbo but with armor and such you are run out of real estate fast for intercooling.

Man I was looking for a way to replace the stock rubber hose since mine was cracking from age. I ended up just getting a stock replacement, but maybe I'll do this in the future. With a stock setup I'd still need to connect the FPR to something since it connects to the resonator box thing on the stock intake. What size copper fitting did you use for the IAC connection?

I don't remember for certain off the top of my head. I want to say it was about 1/2", though. I essentially just took the IAC hose to Lowe's and looked for a 90* fitting that fit inside of it. If I had a stock intake to use, I would have liked to have just cut off the stock IAC tube and welded it onto the intake pipe.

I am so stealing your idea for this intake.
~$35 for the pipe and ~$5 ea. for the silicone bits. ~$50 all in, can’t beat that.

It's definitely a lot cheaper than buying something aftermarket and gets rid of all the stock nonsense
