Yes I realize the scoop isn’t functional, but I desperately want one. All parts from Toyota would cost around $500-$600, RK Sport sells theirs for $800 plus shipping, and then there is the cost for paint.

Just wondering if anyone who has added the scoop to an OR has any good feedback for what I should do, where to buy from or where to get it painted.

I have a cement Tacoma, so also weighing the fact of how difficult it will be to match the paint to the fenders, or if it will require blending

One thing you might be able to look at as a option is a mustang style hood scoop. I installed one on my 2nd gen when I had it and had a Toyota dealership color match the paint. Not sure how it would look on a 3rd gen . You can always just get a oem sport hood also.

As for painting, it's a crap shoot if it matches. Panel shoot it first, if it matches great. If it doesn't, can always blend into tops of fenders, and grille surround. Make sure there is plenty of paint to do so. Even with test card spray outs. Found blending is needed 90% of the time.

Keep it OEM for looks and resale. Like others have said, look in the hood swap thread, something eventually will come along.
