Hold on let me breathe before the hate/life advice I'm about to get slammed with....
    BUT
Mine's in that range and honestly I'm glad with it. Don't care about the hate we receive from it or the views of it being "irresponsible". I had a '96 4runner at 16 and honestly that didn't teach me any budgeting tactics at all compared to this car. I believe it's a good way to teach responsibility and prepare us for "The real world" and all the monthly payments we have to work with later on in life. I'm viewing it as "conditioning" hahaha

Yep I co-signed on a bike for my brother, who’s 21 with zero credit (he’s always been good with money). It’s been nothing but great for me, he pays 800/mo on a 189-mo payment, it’s just another account with an excellent payment history for me. Biggest thing is I trust him though, he’s probably the only person I would do that for. I’m not sure if it really affects his credit too much though since the loan is technically being given on my history.

After reading 10 pages of this, op, I just recommend paying that damn thing off quick, payments get annoying af. Glad you got what you wanted tho, at 18, I wished I could’ve too.
