    Pure purchase regrets?

OEM bug deflector, had one on my 1st gen and dug it, looks like shiza on the 2nd gen, took it off after the first ride with it, it made so much wind noise couldn't stand it, then two weeks later got a sport hood, and wind deflector on a scooped hood (functional or not) makes no sense. Fortunately I bought it used from a junk yard although it was in good shape.

Mud tires, BFG KM2, again used, they had about 75% tread life on them, jeep take offs, they lasted about 6 months, the last month of which they were pretty sketchy in the rain. Could never get them to balance real well and they didn't do any better off road than BFG Ko2's. Should have just waited another month and got new Ko2's.

I know there is more but that's all that's coming to me now.

Yep, the whole KB VooDoo Gore thread is gone!

Who would have thought, that a vendor has so much influence on TW to be able to have negative reviews removed?

Interesting thoughts about the oem tube steps, or nerfs. I love mine. Now i dont do any hardcore wheeling, just the occasional trail. The main reason i bought them was for paint protection from road grit and to access my roof. After shortening oem mud flaps in front, the doors were taking a beating from sand and rocks in the winters of new england. Another plus, theyre aluminum so they wont rust like many steps you see on the road with holes in them. For what i do with them, no problems.

Alright......here it is........my biggest regret buy for my Tacoma:

Reason being that it's gonna become obsolete as soon as I get my windows tinted/UV protected.

The only other twinge I've had over my truck.....I wish I'd looked harder at Quicksand color.

Black has always been my favorite car color......but damnitman......Quicksand is really growing on me.

Relentless Fab Hi lift mount. Great product, but installed it and still haven’t brought the hi lift. Seems excessive for what I do (especially since I don’t have armor) and since I sleep in the back with the wife and dog and I can’t stand having the jack right next to me.

To small of a tire. Wish I would have gone bigger 40K miles ago. Just bought new tires and wheels, wish I would have gone bigger again.

I know it’s been awhile and just wanted to comment about the tint. The tint changing color sounds like you didn’t use the appropriate cleaner on it. Most likely windex. There’s only a couple glass cleaners out there that are safe for tint.

Interesting, I had Weathertechs on my old Subaru Impreza and now I've got the Huskies on my 3rd Gen Tacoma.......Huskies are a way better fit in my truck than the Weathertechs ever were in my Subaru.....maybe it's a make / model thing more than a mat manufacturer thing....

Husky used to suck back in the day, Weathertech competition made them better

    Too few to list.
I'm pretty sure you'll find the 3 lock nuts semi-loose. Tighten them too much and the poly just gets squeezed out. I eventually switched to aluminum.

Damn, so glad you posted this. All three were loose, one was loose enough for me to back it off by hand.
