20190121_172602.jpg I have them, they work well. Only problem I have is they fill with water and mud... not really a problem, more of a gripe. But otherwise a solid investment.

I've heard that when they fill with water or mud they make a farting sound when hit. I've got superbumps so I don't have first hand knowledge of timbrens

    Lol wtf.

Superbumps, Durobumps and Timbrens all have a void in the middle of them so they will fill up with dirt and water, just the nature of the design.

My truck makes a lot of noises but I can't say farting is one of them haha

I ended up going with Sumo bumps instead of Timbren as it was my original choice. Main thing I heard is they are on the stiffer side.

Durobump rears don't have holes and the fronts will face downward so that should help with getting filled up with gunk.

Ah I was thinking of my 1st gen fronts, mine are on the bottom of the LCA so they face upward

I have the SES timbrens (TORTUN4) on the rear end of my truck right now. They definitely do what they advertise. They comfortably supported a 4000lb trailer and about 1000lbs of stuff in the bed of my truck for 1400 miles across country. And that is with j66 deaver spring pack that is not meant to bear much (if any) weight in the bed or that of a trailer.

Around town without any weight, they are pretty stiff, not completely terrible though. Definitely not good for higher speed offroad use.

Keep in mind there is a deference between timbrens SES bumpstops and their Active offroad bumpstops.

Thank you for all your responses, I definitely did not think about the Timbrens collecting mud and water and farting!

I really enjoyed mine. I have all pro expo leafs with extended travel icon 2.0 RR rear shocks on my 2nd gen tacoma. I just went on a trip with about 1000 lbs of firewood in the back towing a 1995 coleman pop up trailer and did excellent on the highway from SoCal to a primitive camp spot just outside of Blythe, AZ.

The next day, proceeded to head off road to my favorite shooting spot with about 600 lbs of target steel bombing down some desert trails for about 30 miles going 50+ mph. The timbrens did an excellent job keeping things under control. I did not once feel like I bottomed them out, nor needed more dampening in the rear. The front, on the other hand, definitely needed to crank up the CDC on my Icon 2.5 Extended Travel RR to handle the weight of the engine and ARB bumper. Once I had that dialed in, everything was smooth. I didn't have a hard jolt of bottoming out at all on any of the corners, especially the rear of the truck.

My guess the Timbrens were originally designed to hang top down from the frame. Then were repurposed for other trucks. I cut a 1/4 hole in the base to let water drain.

@Timbren-Industries - is water/mud/crap collecting in your bumpstops a concern? I just got a set, but I didn't know they were open on top...

The hard rubber composite that the bump stops are made from make them resistant to the elements and durable enough to withstand anything. While gunk may end up on the inside it's not a concern if it sits in there. Your next water crossing will wash them out no problem!
