I'm a hunting guide and go anywhere from 5-65 mph on dirt roads. I run hounds in the winter with lots of snow. mostly wash board and some really rocky steep roads. just wondering if the price between fox 2.0 and 2.5 or kings is worth the money. its going on a 2012 manual tacoma. if another brand works better that helps to. anyone have experience with with a lot of different suspension and have a preference?

I have Fox 2.0s and love them. Mine are set at 3" and I have lots of steel plates, bumper and winch.

If you maintain high speeds on washboard roads, you might consider reservoir shocks.

I do a majority of slower speed stuff, but I'm not afraid of going fast with my extended travel Kings (no resi's, 2.5's).

If what you have now is stock shocks, you'll be more than happy with anything in the Fox/Kind department. ICONs are also very highly recommended, but those are valved differently (digressive vs linear or progressive like Fox and King), so it might do some good to research those and see if that valving might work for your preferences as well.

Check out ADS as well. I’ve had King, Icon, Fox, and Radflo. If I had to do it again, I’d go ADS or Radflo over any of the others without second guessing it simply because you are getting the same quality stuff that they put on their race rigs and customer service is second to none. King, Icon, and Fox all have “civilian” stuff for the non-sponsored consumer. You can’t get their race rig stuff unless you’re sponsored by them.

Seeing as how 99% of us don't actually race with our Tacomas, I don't see that as a bad thing. I bet 90% of us don't even need the "civilian" grade stuff and would be perfectly happy with 5100s.

Get the best you can afford having run Icon, ome, an now kings. Kings ride the best to me an rode in a ads taco it was amazing also. Fox has served me well on other rigs also.
