Where: 1675 W. Hamilton Pl, Englewood, Colorado 80110

    Event Link: Why:
Come join us to discuss Overlanding vehicle setup, equipment, safety and more.
This is our 1st time hosting an Overlanding specific group meet, but we will be planning more over the following months.

Just wanted to post this up here for any who might be interested. It is at the British 4x4 spot, but all are invited. It is kid friendly. I'll likely be there so they have someone to pick on. If you're planning on attending and have FB, mark yourself as interested or as going on the FB event page so its easier to keep track of how many they should expect.

How did the run go last week? I probably should have committed as my wife had shopping on the agenda and so when another buddy called and we did a quick snow run down 322 off of Rampart Range Road. My Son tagged along with me and his daughter tagged along with him. We all had a great time.

We had fresh powder to cut on the trail that ranged between 5" to 1'. Mabye a little deeper in a few spots. I slid off the side once and it took a bit to dig out. Then I got slightly stuck turning around, aired down and we climbed back out. Was a good day as the snow was falling. I had a short video cutting trails through powder but can't seem to upload.

Anyway, if you guys have shots of your trip, I'd love to see them. I'll keep an eye out on your next one and jump in.

Here are a few shots of our trip

Was good. Snow made some spots challenging. There are a few pics in the trip reports page.

Although I guess I'm the only one...which makes sense because trucks cost money and most people with money have jobs during the week :notsure:

Haven't confirmed, but there's plenty to see and do out there that's not in a park. Besides...there's multiple ways into arches and only one has a gate.

And I'm not opposed to going to jail for "trespassing" while foolish "leaders" run this country into the ground. Just to be clear, i wouldn't vandalize nor cut down trees.

Cool... Biggest 'worry' is trails being muddy due to melting snow. I'd rather not tear up roads nor get sloppy dirty.

Yeah, if you look at Twitter they closed park when last snow storm hit until Roads/ paths were cleared "naturally" of the snow.

That’s all good, but I’m fairly certain there aren’t any trees in arches... hahahaha

The backroad into arches is kind of fun.

Took the Willow Springs Way in today since that's where we're camped. But yes the gravel road out the north end is a blast. There may be a smooth bump in the road where you can get air time at ~90mph. So i heard from a friend. :anonymous:

I was thinking more along the lines of the road that goes out to Eye of the Whale Arch then out to Marching Men then into the park.

Yeah, its a bit slower, narrower and i recall using the taco sliders on that trail at one point, so tundra will not be heading out on that one. But the wide fast and curvy main gravel access road out to it is another story... :burnrubber:
