Shipping auto parts? Supercharger in particular

    I am looking for some creative ideas on the shipping of my supercharger. It is in need of a rebuild, and I am intending on sending it down to the boys at Stiegemeier for an overhaul. I just want to make sure that I can satisfactorily protect the nose of it, and minimize any jostling of the unit.

    I already plan to double box it if I can find some that are appropriate sized, but any ideas for packing material as well as proper prepping of the unit itself are greatly appreciated! I ship all kinds of goodies, but for some reason I can see myself not packaging this bad boy up right...

    Tape the ports up. Another thing is if it is over a certain weight then it requires a two man lift. There are also different kinds of cardboard so get the heavy duty. I would take it there to your preferred shipper and have them pack it. And insure it and if applicable over insure it, by how much your call.
