What did you use, and where did you pick it up? My old windows do a horrible job insulating, and I already re-sealed them all when I moved in, could definitely use a break on the utility bills.

I've heard some pretty good things, but there's always some good and some bad. I figure it (hopefully) won't be a DD, so even if the beads aren't great they will be fine.

Yeah PM me that number if you would. Idk if I'll use them but it's always helpful! Much appreciated my man.

Yeah I've heard both good and bad. I'll give these dynabeads a shot and let y'all know.

Shoulda texted me, I would have come help haha.

I'd love to do something similar to our windows, but Molly likes looking out the windows so I doubt she will let me. I need to figure out some kind of noise blocking to do on these windows though or else I may end up popping shots off at the trash truck that comes by at 2am...

Glad to hear it! I'll be running them in mine too. Did you go with the recommended 8oz in each tire?

Amazon sells Duck brand window film with adhesive tape for like $20, I think that's what I paid. Buy the big sheet and cut to fit multiple windows.

I ordered two of each of these, but I have a LOT of windows.

    Mortite rope caulk 90ft
    https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B000LNODSQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Duck window insulation kit 10 windows
    https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B002GKC2GW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I would recommend the mortite brand rope caulk. It was easy-ish to work with. Sometimes I needed to heat up the sill with a heat gun to get it to stick though.

If you have the big venetian blinds, I ended up removing the blinds assembly so I could put the insulating film behind the assembly. I was able to reinstall the blinds over the film and still have full use of them.

Here's a good video where a guy actually breaks down his utility bill, avg temps, dollar savings, and "units of fuel" (to adjust for fluctuation in energy prices) with window film vs no window film. Very informative.

Cut & broke off some stuff.
What exactly are you doing with the rope caulk? Are you pulling off trim and putting it back there?

Nope, just shoving it into/on top of large cracks where drafts come in. Mostly near the top and bottoms of the windows where the windows meet the frame.

This is the truth. Moved to Nashville from Arizona with my 2009 TRD OR and 3 weeks into living here I was rear-ended in dead stopped traffic on the 65. A Charger hit a Tundra behind me going who-knows-how-fast and it shoved him into me. All 3 vehicles totaled. The Charger ended up under the Tundra.

Let me know how the show is. I've seen them twice but that was almost 10 years ago, and they were old farts then. Can only imagine now haha

My issue with Nashville traffic the multiple times I've been stuck in it driving to an from various wheeling trips is people are too courteous. Stopping in the middle of the lane to let people pull over while the other person isn't paying attention and doesn't pull over etc. I'm used to 3hrs a day of killed or be killed anarchy on the highway though, so I may be a bit skewed.
