I’d be applying to a rag and using to remove adhesive from a decal. Safe? Thanks.

    How about WD-40 instead?

Cut & broke off some stuff.
I think i've used it. BUT, any time i use something like that on paint, i wipe with rubbing alcohol and then water to get it all off asap.

I just went back to the hardware store and swapped the Goof Off for Goo Gone. It worked pretty well but it was a huge pain in the butt to get rid of the outline of the TRD decal. It was a hard combination of dirt and adhesive and I had to go after it with my thumbnail.

Washed the whole area with regular auto soap afterwards and everything turned out ok. Now I can put on the new custom bedside decals.

I would use a tiny bit of heat and watered down isopropyl alcohol.

Clay bar to get the rest off.

Don’t scrub and use your nails. I bet your paint is marred up. Since you have white to you probably won’t see it until you get some sun on it. But may want to plan to polish the area now.

I initially used heat to take off the decal. It still left behind the outline. I tried clay bar, wouldn't take off the remnants. Afterwards used compound on the whole area, then clayed it fully. Seen it in the sun, looks great.

Wd40 can remove sticker residue and is safe on paint. You just need to wash and wax your truck after using it.

WD40 didn’t do the job, I tried that before going back out for Goof Off.
