Changing screw color on AJT climate control knobs....

I ordered a set of the AJT CC knobs, which look and work great btw...my desire to change colors and the fact that I didn't order this color to begin with is my problem, not theirs lol. Anyhow, I got black screws and now I'm thinking of changing them to red.

I do know that AJT sells "extra parts", but unfortunately for me, I have no way to order them directly. I can order from Amazon because I use Amazon gift cards...keeps a divide between my money and the online world. Might seem silly and antiquated but I just don't like putting CC #s online...to each their own.

Long story short, I just ordered this:

I think the original screws are 6-32 x 1/4 and these are a bit smaller in diameter, a bit longer in length, and I can almost guarantee the thread pitch is different...but it can't be that different. And even if it is, we're talking about plastic, for one...and like I said, they are a bit smaller in diameter.

So anywayyyyyyyyyy...this thread is basically to see if we have an option. When they come in, I'll give em a shot and post here how they worked/fit. Or if anyone else has found anything else that works...especially if it's on amazon lol.....share your ideas.

 

Finally arrived and changed. They fit just shy of perfect lol. I wanted them to stay out a little further than the originals, but they will go all the way in. The color of the red ones looks like they don't all match, but they do....that's a problem with the photographer .

Also, I have a full set of black screws (screws only) if anyone needs them, I'll mail them to you no charge at all. I think I can scrape together 47 cents (or whatever a stamp costs now)

I just ordered the same ones with the blue screws. Did the black cap, and blue screws for my climate. Did the concrete cap and blue screws for my 4x4 cap. Looking forward to seeing the difference

 

They're a great product. Like I said, my desire to change colors after the fact is my fault, not AJT's.

I like them, but to me very overpriced for plastic. I wish I would have read it better as I thought maybe these were aluminum or some type of metal. I will most likely sell mine I just have to pop the little metal pieces out to put my OEM versions back in.

 

Anyone have a link for orange screws that would fit the 2nd gen fob cover they sell?

 

Why not just Google AJT Designs

 

I’m ok with them as the fit snug and give it some character. My biggest fear is how cold the shifter is going to be in the winter since it is metal

I had that and gave it away actually to a member on here, not that I didn't like it but I bought an ICON billet shift knob

 

I may be missing something but I cant find orange as an option.

 

@eccracer104 do you have the 3 OEM climate control knobs and the OEM 4 wheel drive switch? I might have another freebie for you.
