Hi guys. Brand new to the forum and to Tacoma's. Bought an '09 reg cab 4x4 last week. Last 3 trucks were Dodges. Love the Tacoma so far, drives great and my mileage has doubled (at least).

Can you guys recommend a particular brand of tonneau cover for me? Price matters but I don't want junk. Prefer velcro over snaps. Also, is there anywhere to get a cargo divider cheaper than the dealership?

I love my Access LiteRider. Lets you keep the bed rails and it's not all that high over the bed.

If you want REAL cheap for a divider- Get a 2x4 and cut it to fit in the grooves in the bed sides. Otherwise- check out the coupons/deals section and then look at auotanything or check out ebay for a bed extender/divider.

I love my Access LE. Sits a little higher than the literider and you can use the stock tie down's. Not sure if you can with the literider. It rolls up out of the way when I need access to the whole bed, unlike a hard cover you have to remove and store.

Check the for sale threads on here or ebay for the divider.

    Good luck and welcome :)

love my access le also much better than the xtangs i had on my dodges......rolls up out of the way and you can still use the tie down system...you just cant use a factory bed divider since the cover moves the rails in slightly.

I put an undercover on mine and it works great...lockable and very sturdy. I can stand on top of mine put chairs on it or whatever without any problems. Very lightweight so I can remove by myself in a matter of minutes. Good luck with your choice

    x2 on the Access LE.

To get the factory bed divider to fit, all you have to do is cut about an inch off each end. I did mine a few weeks ago.

Here's a link to the thread where I posted pics and how I did it...

Can recommend my Lund enough. Every time I go somewhere and am hanging out around my truck, I have people ask me about it.

It is velcro, installs in 20 mins, rolls up in 30 seconds, and looks sweet. Not too expensive, but is still great quality.

    Stock. Purchased 2/17/19. Cement!
Extang Cover. No buttons. Those tend to snap/break after a while. This style is awesome. Its like a zip lock style cover. Rolls up easy when you need the space and fits like a glove when not in use. I bought mine on AutoAnything.com. Paid less than $200 on sale almost 4 yrs ago. Still love it! Had one before on my old nissan hardbody.

My used truck came with a Leer hard tonneau installed. It's well made and looks good, but there is no provision for easy removal, which means I can't haul much of anything. I may sell it and get a soft tonneau or a canopy top.

Ohh please post some pics...i'd love to see the 09 regular cab......did you get the SR5 or no?

anyways I have the rugged cover. great cover for $300. no drilling or mounting. the clamps slide into the Bed rail. therefore it pops on and off very easily.

and it trifolds and locks in if you only need part of your bed

And the Bonus....7 Year warrenty on the Vinal...Lifetime warrenty on the hardware.
