No silly, it's part of my audiophile setup at home. There's no room in my Taco for a 16" mirrored ball, or 3" platform shoes.

Still have this up for grabs if any of you guys interested in a TRD Intake? Good for the 2005-2011 Tacoma 4.0 PN is
    [IMG]
$448 Genuine Toyota Parts PTR03-35090 TRD Cold Air Intake System
    PTR03-35090
It's not complete, the little plastic filter gauge thing is not included. A new one is about $20 from Toyota under PN PTR03-34071 The TRD filter is included but it's pretty nasty as you can see. OEM filter works or try cleaning this one up. The lower section is slightly damaged around the 2 areas that retain the metal clips that lock the top section on. This can be repaired using a generic latch system of your own. $150 OBO or open to a trade. Bought this thinking it would fit my 5th gen but it doesn't so I want it out of my way.

I'm attempting to get mine back to stock. Otherwise I'd snatch it.

Do the clips still hold the lid shut?

Not very tight. Not tight enough that I would trust it to seal against the filter properly. It's apparently a common problem. I found this while searching and was going to do something like this until I found out it won't fit my truck so I didn't bother.

According to the guy that posted that picture, it's a McMaster Carr 1863A21 from Home Depot. I google searched it and can't come up with much to be honest. It's called a non marring thumb latch.

This brings in air from the exact same spot as the OEM intake. There is no higher chance of sucking in water with this intake than there is with the OEM intake.
