** Will update as i finish things or remember things**

started out as a parted out 00' tacoma bed, frame, rear/front end.

    20181016_161116 (1).jpg 20181016_161057.jpg

next step was chopping off the front end

and notching the frame so we could bend it in for the tongue/support
    Screenshot_2018-12-25-09-41-15.jpg Screenshot_2018-12-25-09-41-17.jpg

added the bed deck/drawer system and put carpet on it

built the tongue using 3" C channel off of the original frame

hooked up to the truck to check it out
    20181019_183610.jpg 20181019_183431.jpg 20181019_183628.jpg

added a cabover built for a 1st gen tacoma bed. started removing the old panels and insulation so i could run new wiring, replace insulation and install new wood wall panels

cut and welded a piece of sheet metal onto the tongue (leaving the gap between the frame directly below the overhang)
    20190104_163240.jpg20190112_143408.jpg 20190105_123533.jpg

removed all the old sealant along the seams of the roof and resealed
    20190106_220616.jpg

    new wheels and tires! :)
    20190112_143408.jpg

went for its maiden tow to our new house 2 hours north
    20190112_153655.jpg 20190126_123927.jpg

acquired a bunch of new lumber and started building the storage compartment under the overhang on the front. got most of the framing finished, used 2 2x4s underneath the base to tie the baseboards together and secured baseboards to the frame with brackets (will be putting more brackets on the other boards)

pics arent in exact order but close enough
    Few other things
-Gas tank was removed because i am planning on putting an RV/Camper fresh water tank underneath with a 12v pump. inlet/outlet ports will be in the stock fuel cap location
-Front storage area will have solid wall on front side and a top to bottom door on driver and passenger side for access. there will be a shelf across the middle for a storage area accessible from the inside of the cab-over.
-Battery, inverter, etc. will be in the lower front storage area, with propane tank either in same area or out front on the tongue

    Still need to:
    - Finish running the wiring inside (to include switches for lights)
    - Interior/Exterior lighting (along with marker lights)
    - Fresh water tank from RV/Camper with 12v pump)
    - Battery and inverter
    - Propane tank mount
    - Insulation
    - Interior walls
    - Front storage walls/doors
    - Rear support legs (if the camper is rockin..... its probably because i dont have any supports in the rear and i cant get comfortable)
    - Paint exterior
    - Buy mattress
    - Build slide out drawer for center of drawer/deck system
    - Remove/replace old roof vent with fan/vent combo
    - Register it lol
A lot more im sure im forgetting or havent thought of yet

    Nice!
Always wanted to get a bed to make a trailer. Never thought of putting a camper on it.

Yeah I wanted to do a regular camper shell kind of thing for a while but couldn't pass up upgrading to a cab over camper. Way more room and it's nice having actual doors

Took advantage of the sun being out for a bit and painted the trailer. Got both sides done. Ran out of paint and sun so wasnt able to do the roof yet. The dents definitely show more with the black paint but it's a camp trailer. It will be fine lol. Rear and sides ~90% complete. Got decent coverage with the 3 cans I had. Figure about 6 more cans needed. 1 more per side and rear. And then 3 for roof

Worked on the front storage area of the camp trailer build last night. Got the front wall, shelf and door panels cut and mounted up. Still need to seal up joints and small gaps, paint, install door handles/locks, foam weather seals for doors and run wiring for the interior storage lighting.

Brilliant!! Very Nice. I would love to have something like this, but no way could I do all the work. Looks really good. I was wondering about the color, but I see that your in CA, so extreme heat I would think wouldn't be a problem. I would have painted it a much lighter color to reflect heat, and definitely would paint the roof white. but hey, that's just my preference. Looks really good though. Do you know the approximate weight once it's completed and loaded down for camping or hunting trip. just curious.

Yeah the heat might be a little crazy with it being black, hopefully when I do the insulation inside it will help. Going to have a window fan and a fan in the roof vent/screen thing. Wont be inside the trailer other than for sleeping at night so that will help. Not exactly sure on the current weight, but it is still light enough for me to move around by hand. I will know more when I go register it. Will get another weight after registration is done and its fully loaded

Building the full length 6' drawer that will go in the camp trailer under the sleeping platform. Still haven't decided on how I want to do the slides. Bearings along the sides with a rail? wheels underneath? Heavy duty drawer slides?Drawer will pull out the full length and have a fold down leg underneath the front end to support it when its extended
