Towel was actually just while I was working on it today. With all the snow melting, everything here is wet from all the snow melting. I usually run no seat covers but I’ve got a set I keep behind the rear seats I throw on during hunting season or other times where I’ll make a mess.

This is what I use currently as needed -
Aries Automotive 3142-09 Black Universal Bucket Seat Cover https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009M0S4U2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_iZIvCbK22KNFQ

I’ve considered going to a cover all the time but haven’t felt a need to yet but cordura and more some pockets would be nice

Sorry to bug you guys again because I think this was covered at some point in the thread, but is anything wrong with vacuum bleeding after the install? That’s how I always do the race bikes after a flush and it’s so simple with one person.

If you can vacuum bleed a hydraulic clutch, more power to you! Give it a shot.

I tried it once on a car and once on my bike. Utter freaking failures that put me in a @Shellshock situation.

For folks that never tried a vacuum bleed on a clutch, I would say to stick with a helper or a gravity bleed.

Not gonna lie I thought about it… I’m fairly confident I could get it done in an hour or so knowing what I do now.

Really if I’d have just not gotten frustrated the first time, it’d have been done a while ago. But i was cold and tired and irritated lol

At least I know there’s not something jacked up with my truck - just bad luck combined with being my first time doing anything with hydraulic lines. Gotta learn somehow :)

Guess I need to go back to get the shellshock story. I love the mity-vac on the bikes. For some reason I can never get the rear lines bled on my bikes with the conventional method. Mity-vac and 90 seconds and it’s firm as hell. Never touch the rears on my track bike anyway but pedal is rock solid if I need it. I’ll stick with traditional methods for the clutch though. Thanks gents.

Yeah. Brakes and clutches are a bit different. I'd say vacuum is good for brakes and bad for clutches. I'm also not a pro. Just my DIY recommendation.

I’ll take your word for it. Thanks for the advice. Might have time to get the truck on the lift tomorrow and get this squared away.

There is always more to be learned by failure. I was definitely in you shoes in the past!

And, I appreciate that you are having fun with this also. It's just a thang.

For sure. I’m just glad to finally be out of the house today and nice enough to do something after the ridiculous cold earlier this week.

Basically when I attempted my delete I got a bunch of air in the system I couldn’t seem to get out no matter what I did and it’s all downhill from there. All good now though
