I guess Toyota doesn't get that either... Because you know, everyone has a 19-21 gallon tank in the midsize truck segment.

My dad always had an extra tank installed in his vehicles. You don't hear of that so much anymore? His Jeep Wagoneer, his Chevy Suburban, and his Ford station wagon, all had a second tank and he could twist a valve on the floor to go from one tank to the other. I think 21 gallons is fine, I can go almost 300 miles off road. On my Baja expeditions, depending on what part, I would bring an extra 5 or 7 gallons, using plastic jerry cans. Only once was that necessary, in the Seven Sisters section.

    Says here has a 22g tank - https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...ecifications-sheet-feature-availability.8468/

Seems like these modern trucks should have bigger tanks, hell the 4Runner has a 23g tank, GenI Tundra had 26.5g and it was pretty much the same dimensions as a Gen2 or Gen3 Tacoma.

EDIT: Now I see this "Official Press Release" for the Gladdy, says it will be built in Toledo, OH. The link above says assembled in Saltillo, Mexico. https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...elease-2020-jeep-gladiator-specs-photos.8455/ Well, anyhow, see the underlined below, looks like the Gladiator will have a chassis and body produced by Kuka and Hyundai Mobis, co-located in the Toledo facility. In an innovative fashion.

"Manufacturing The all-new Jeep Gladiator is built in Toledo, Ohio, where Jeep vehicles have rolled off the assembly line since 1941. The new truck will make its production home in the south plant of the Toledo Assembly Complex, where the Jeep Wrangler JK was built until April 2018. The Toledo South Assembly Plant, or what has also been known as Toledo Supplier Park, was built in 2005, highlighting an innovative supplier co-location concept where supplier partners build and manage key manufacturing process facilities completely within the plant “footprint.” FCA US will utilize that same manufacturing system to produce the new Jeep truck, working with two of the original supplier partners. Kuka and Hyundai Mobis will supply the body and chassis, respectively. Production is expected to begin in the first half of 2019.

Manufacturing capacity for the new truck was created by moving production of the next-generation Jeep Wrangler to the north side of the Toledo Assembly Complex as part of a $4.5 billion industrialization plan to realign the Company’s U.S. manufacturing base to expand the Jeep and Ram brands. FCA US invested $700 million to retool the north plant and added more than 700 new jobs to support production of the new Wrangler."

I noticed that today too when I was reading about the first one rolling off the assembly line, sure does seem like an odd location.

It looks pretty lame in the stock format, but it has some beef in the Rubicon trim.

My only reservation about the Gladiator is that it likely has many of the Jeep disadvantages (quality control, highway ride quality), without the main Jeep advantages (short wheelbase, small turning radius) etc.

It is interesting they made it so long in the middle.

What is for certain, is Jeep guys are gonna go beast-mode and build the fuck outta these things and we are all going to end up secretly jealous. They will look imposing, and probably eat up the terrain with a killer build.

I have no doubt it will be capable...but you still have to be seen in the thing. They have that middle-aged douchebag vibe that Hummers had.
