I would say about equal, though I like our layouts better. Granted the Ford will squeak a bit more and I hear the plastics are cheaper.

3rd gen Taco interior blows them both out of the water:

Sat in a 3rd gen recently. Was very impressed with the quality and layout compared to my 2013. If only I could get that interior with my current 4L V6. Would be perfect.

    2020.

Say it again. 2020. Embarrassing for Toyota. It’s just as bad as the 3.5 and 6 speed. Woefully behind the times, and don’t give me the “but it’s reliable” nonsense. I’ll take a ZF 8-speed literally any day.

It looks alright. I think both the 2014 and the new tacoma interior looks better though. The ranger is a little reminiscent of the 2nd gens with the layout of the center vents. On a side note the colorado just looks terrible compared to the ford and toyota.

I prefer both Tacomas interiors over the Rangers. I do wish that the 2nd gen had a cold weather package with heated mirrors and seats.

Easily the Ranger interior is better.

The 2nd gen interior is literal shit

My wife’s 2012 Range Rover interior is way better than the taco, but I would rather pull my dash out to do the evap and heater core than pull hers. Sometimes being spartan is a good thing

I did Katzkins heated leather for seats. My 328xi has a heated steering wheel and while I felt like less of a man paying $190 for that option I use the crap out of it in the winter and wish my tacoma had one.

Toyota doesn't have to do ANYTHING...Their fanboys will buy a truck with old technology all day long. Toyota BANKS on it. Thankfully Ford is light years ahead of the Tacoma when it comes to the tech and Performance, while Toyota takes advantage of their adoring minions by not putting modern tech into an old tired design.

2020 Tacoma. I waited for the 2020 Tacoma details to be released before buying my Ranger and found nothing but the same old drive train. Same old Engine and Transmission. Nothing notable there..More safety tech (what took ya?)

Many Toyota owners on the Ranger Forum. Those who buy modern day vehicles, and are not beholden to any brand "they all do that" BS. No old tired drive train designs,

Make no mistake. The Ranger has a very positive following with many glowing reviews. Many former Tacoma owners who were tired of the same old "they all do that" runaround.

I invite anyone to test drive the Ranger...0-60 in 5.7 seconds....It's been a long time since I was pushed to the back of my seat in a pickup truck..Acceleration is a safety feature. Anyone who rides a bike knows this.

Check out the B&O Sound....Makes the great sounding JBL system a fail. Payload, towing, and engine performance mated to a 10 speed transmission....... The Ranger has it all over their competition. All I have to say is WHAT TOOK YOU FORD?

Toyota doesn’t have to do anything considering the Tacoma is the best selling in its class. I get it everyone likes creature comforts but sometimes less is more. Our 2018 Camry is full of gadgets but that is just more shit that can break.
