Hello Tacoma world, I just installed an icon stage 10+ system on my truck. The kit has you remove the stock leaf springs that have a standoff bracket for the emergency brake cable. The new leaf packs do not have this bracket and it leaves the emergency brake cable resting on one of the bolts that keep the leaf packs together. Obviously this is a recipe for disaster. If the cable goes under the bolt and you fully flex the suspension, I’d imagine the suspension would become hung up and/or rip the emergency brake line. Did I do something wrong or does anyone have an idea of how to fix this? I was thinking of making a shroud that can screw on the exposed threads.

On my springs i drilled and tapped the spring clamp and then used the oem steel guide and bolt.

Very clean, i think I'm going to use an adel clamp since I cut off the OEM guide :/

I wish Icon included instructions or mentioned this in their kit. If the bolt snags the cable it could 1. Rip the cable making the emergency brake inoperative, 2. Pull the cable triggering the left tire to lock up.

I ended up using an adel clamp from aircraft spruce. im going to bend it better later. Icon sent me a revised manual that says to bend out the forward clamp that holds the e brake cable. i tried this but did not get the results i wanted. 57214618094__7EF251B4-1D81-429A-8012-A4D547A5CEB9.jpg 57214679495__B6CB9D97-32C4-4AEF-923D-555E7EE71CEA.jpg
