Thanks, medic. I'll look for greener trails. If you guys are ever up in Thousand Oaks, they have a pump track at Sapwi Bike Park.

I ride there with my kid. Do you ever go to space mountain/ Los Robles? Or over to cheseboro? Or ahmonson ranch open preserve? I live in Calabasas and I ride all over the Santa Monicas depending on the mood and who’s around to ride. Let’s go!

Here’s the Switzerland Trail in Ahmonson ranch which is was part of the Woolsey fire burn area. Luckily the trail wasn’t torn to shit.

This is the opposite ridge of the Switzerland trail, it runs parallel with the other ridge going north to south. It’s called Ireland, these are really well known trails in the valley.

I'm in SFV, Sherman Oaks. In 2016, I started mtb at Chesbro Cyn and took a class at Malibu Cyn State Park a couple years ago w/ CORBA. I did a ride w/ a friend in Palos Verdes by the Trump golf resort, did a night ride w/ JRA at Etz Maloy trail once, rode Caballero Cyn trail a few times, rode some trail off of Encinco Hills/Mulholland called Canyonback Ridge Trail, rode at Snow Summit bike park a few times, and got to ride Mammoth Bike Park one "epic" season where I rode the snowboard in the morning and did mtb riding in the afternoon at the same mountain resort the same day on a Fourth of July/Independence Day weekend. All that said, I still feel like a newb and out of shape w/ endurance. It sure is fun to get out there, though. I haven't gone in months, so I'd be down to try to go for the first time this year.

Aye this is just the thread I need to kick me into moto. I need to look into a moto sometime next year for a beginner, whats the going rate for something to learn on that's used?

    Not motor powered. Leg powered.
Most decent rigs cost as much as a moto though. Mine ran about $10k all said and done

Are you referring to the traditional mountain bike over a dirt bike? I was thinking of possibly getting a 125, but is that not worth it in the long run?

Yes mtb, but there is. Nothing traditional about the bike.
