Sorry if I missed a thread about this, but is anyone else going to King of Hammers?

My buddy and I will be heading up Thursday to see the racing on Friday .

Never been, want to go to say we've gone, and it's been some time since we've hung out anyway.

Anyway, just curious if there's anything else we need to know if the collective out there knows how to make it a better experience .

For example, planning on bringing my CT90, but don't know if it's even worth bringing.

Dress warm and be ready to get wet , Friday thru Monday . Forecast calls for Rain showers also flurries at higher elevations and colder temps

Been going there for about 5-6 years. Best off-road event in Southern California in my books. Will be there Thursday night till Saturday morning. If you're in Southern California, you'd be a fool not to go!

Havent been there for a long time and I'm only 45 miles away from there . I would go there this weekend but I'll be busy with my brother who's visiting from Hawaii . Also the weather forecast is not looking good with snow forecasted and cold temps

Any tips for the late arrival? Have you done it before?

Willing to share the preferred spectating locations?

The forecast looks okay for the weekend of 8, 9, 10 when we're going.

Sign up online for spectating. You will be required to at the entrance of KOH, significantly easier to just show your ticket instead of buying it there.

It will be dry. Carry chapstick and a bunch of water.

In the past, we have had freezing nights with alot of wind. Make sure to pack for cold weather in the mornings and bring ear plugs at night. There are plenty of bros that will be redlining it out of the camp area at 2AM.

Dont be afraid to explore, and avoid driving on the race course at all costs.

Follow the large crowds and youll easily scope good spots to view the race.

Other then those few items, have one hell of a good time and look forward to seeing you all out there

Just wanted to thank everyone for the insights and suggestions.

My buddy and I will be heading out tonight after work to catch the racing tomorrow.

Just my truck, no CT90, lots of warm gear, lol.

Maybe I'll see some of you out there.

We'll be in my white Tacoma with a snorkel and GFC.

It was cold, my tent was frozen in the morning.

Random Trophy photos. I left Thursday afternoon as the office emails were getting fucking insane.

I suppose your truck's license plate corresponded well with the weather.

Some pics of one of the cars I was there to shoot. Barrel rolled it first corner. It dug into the soil and just pitched over. Rolled back onto its wheels started off and kept shooting. Sadly my buffer filed and this is the last in the sequence.
