Tyler - Since you're upgrading components in the wiring harness (thank you!) can I talk you into replacing the 40AMP blade fuse in my Super-8 horn setup with a Bussmann CB285-40 Surface-Mount Circuit Breaker? I will cover the additional cost of the upgrade ($28.00 on Amazon).

I think that’s a little excessive, they will never exceed 20-30 Amps even with eight horns. They are also never a constant load, it’s just short bursts.

    I drive a Miata.
My first car was a 1984 Fleetwood. I miss that harmonic horn.

I'd love louder on my taco, but I dont know if I would want to change the tone. The major problem Ive experienced is that people associate certain sounds with certain vehicles. I once saw a Civic with an airhorn kit nearly sideswiped by a pickup changing lanes - the driver kept looking at the 18 wheeler in the right lane, not realizing the source of that sound was actually in his left-side blind spot. It took me about five seconds to figure it out myself, and I was watching the scene from several carlengths behind. Five seconds is an eternity for corrective maneuvers. I know that if I heard that distinctive C-note chord go off, my first instinct would be to scan the road and look for the cadillac that I just pissed off.
