Swapped out for a Pioneer HU during the Newegg rebate sale.. No need for the stock HU. Works perfectly fine.

Asking $375 shipped within Contiguous US

How difficult was the swap? Still retain most factory radio displays?

The swap is simple. Just a little bit of splicing and you’re good to go.

Swap was easy. If you are referring to the display on the center gauge cluster then the only thing lost was the GPS screen

2016.. Def. not Entune 3.0.. I don't recall what Entune versions these have.. The last time it updated it removed Pandora and, I believe, one other app.

Cool. I've got a '16 JBL HU as well. Debating on going aftermarket or trying to snag a '19 OEM unit w/ Entune 3.0 (for CarPlay obviously)

Does the JBL head unit work with non JBL set up? Simple plug n play? Are the tweeters and speakers the same as well. Thanks

Not sure on the 3rd Gen I will let someone else speak to that. The research I have been able to grab off this forum, the JBL system is different than stock, considered an upgrade according to Toyota ~tho others will dispute that. Kinda quirky how they did the wiring for the JBL system. For the 2nd Gen JBL HU it just sends the signals out to the factory amp in the back behind the passenger rear seat and the Amp then sends all the signals out to all 6 speakers and the sub. The fronts are wired such that the signal goes into the tweeters first, then down to the speakers in the front doors each rated at 2 ohms. The sub is wired with two connections going out to it at 2 ohms as well. Rear speakers are wired at 4 ohms, so speaker selection is should be based on the ohms if staying with the JBL HU.

There are many threads discussing the JBL system in this forum. At the top of the page on the forum in the search box just put "JBL" or "JBL Entune" and you can read until your hearts content.
