Hello, I couldn’t find any RTT forum threads that addressed this specific question I have. I have a Max Modular rack and installed my FSR RTT on it. My problem is that due to the upper bars that only go front to back, I originally installed it with the tent opening to the rear (tailgate) of the truck. I’d rather the tent open to the passenger side so that I make room for my outdoor kitchen. Pls see pics. So now that I’ve installed this tent to open to the side, Ive now got metal on metal, specifically metal on bolt/nuts. I’d like to use a shim made of some type of composite to protect both my tent and my rack from metal on metal when I open my tent and when off-roading. Any help with a specific shim, material, ideas, would greatly help. TIA.

I’ve since modified this install see more pics.9F62589E-D602-4883-82F7-BBBC25ABC262.jpg55CCBF1F-FC26-4099-90FD-640B5B42D3A3.jpg 0F73311D-05E4-4418-9537-CEF2C3773F1F.jpg
In this pic, I’ve rotated the tent and the tent rail is now directly on top of the rack rail paralleled, instead of perpendicular.21208560-DE0A-4354-B54A-65CA0617D609.jpg
So now I am hoping someone here knows of a composite type block/shim I can use to pad the tent rail to get the bolts/nuts off the rack rails.
