Has the weather cleared up there, so you can check it yourself. Also, be chance have you checked rack-n-pinion mounting bolts? Just running things through my head, what could be causing you clunk. I see the Ohio salt is really messing up finish on those Bilstein's.

That's like 6 weeks of use or so! I installed the front's on Dec 12th according to the pic I took, so actually 8 weeks.

Today was 20 degrees colder than yesterday so i'm wondering if that is changing the issue. I noticed the clunk more this afternoon than I did this morning after the service.
I appreciate all the helpful suggestions though.

Jacked truck up, I can't see anything wrong with my BJ either. Checked everything I could think of and some things that were recommended to me. So like any good troubleshooter faced with an apparently impossible problem, i'm just gonna ignore it for now. I will update when my wheel falls off or such.

Flip-side is I can now move on to the other end of my truck and deal with squeaks and vibes...

I had zero issue prior to the weather getting cold. I had a warm day and my clunk was noticeably reduced.

My metallic rattle is definitely still there as is my clunk. Have you ruled out body mounts? If you swap back to your stock uprights it will rule out the Pro uprights. I had strut clunk in my old car, but it was at low speeds, so I'm reluctant to point fingers at the Pro assemblies.

But regardless what you are saying is that your sway bar is still off and the clunk is back to what it was before you pulled the bar?

I'm waiting for warm weather (tho that will likely mask the issue) and pull the Pro skid and sway and see.

Sorry for replying with colored text, just seemed easier. Can you describe your noise again?

Fair enough. Thanks for the clarification. I'm hoping I've just got the sway bar issue myself.

Do you have any metallic rattling on yours? Mine is noticeable at low speeds. It's definitely not normal 6MT noise as it occurs under load and not brake pad rattle as it occurs with the brakes on. I'm hoping it's all related.

The only reason I mention the body mounts is that it seems like a common occurrence on the 3G that's exacerbated with the cold.

Body mounts probably are bad according to what I've read here lol. Have you checked your dust shield on your front brakes? After I did my driver side I had a rub from that, but otherwise I got nothing.

I'll give it a look when I pull the wheels to look at the sway. I swap to snow tires each winter so it's possible I've got something going on there.

Maybe I should have just stayed stock on this truck.

Before I swapped mine I really asked myself if I wanted to as my truck was super smooth and rode nice as was. I had bought all the stuff to do the lift almost a year before and it sat in my garage. If it keeps up, it may end up back on the garage floor. The only reason I am not racing to do it is I am afraid I will go through the trouble of reverting it and still have my clunk.

Realistically the only way you wouldn’t is if the assemblies themselves are the culprit. Otherwise it’s somehting in the truck which failed.

My grumpiness is strictly from losing out on the passing off the problem to someone else (ie dealer under warranty) because I changed things. I don’t want to pay to have them throw parts at it which won’t fix things. Of course the crummy winter weather isn’t helping things.

Only a very slight amount of vibration under heavy acceleration from a stop. Icon 3 leaf with overload still in.

My dealer charged me nothing to look at it on a lift a drive it around. They even had me ride along. Of course it chose to not do it except twice which the mech said he didn't hear or feel. I switch back to stock and it's still there I will be back at the dealership.

So at this point my front cluck seems to be less, or I have just learned to tune it out. I did put my sway back on after installing a relocate kit. That was def. part of it, but not all of it. I'm convinced that it is either something with the brakes or the coilover themselves. I also clearly have a bad mount somewhere as I have a horrible metal screeching sound that occurs only when I do something that twists the frame. That is my next project.

So I consider the lift done as of now. I have the dakar HD in the rear and originally had a 3 degree shim but could not resolve that with any amount of CB drop and shimming so I removed it. I now have a cb drop and flip and no vibes. I got about 2" in the front and 3" in the rear. I have sumos in the rear, but only have about a finger width of space to the frame, I will eventually switch them out for the shorter version. Towing causes the sumos to contact the frame. I do need to redo the zip tie on my rear shocks as the boots are loose and collapsed.

Otherwise it is what it is.

I have one of these lifts NIB for sale. Sold my TACO. Only thing I did with the lift was open the box to make sure it was complete with the right parts.

For those who have installed this kit, any long term issues?
