Ah. Gotcha. Well I’ll probably give these a shot and see how they do. I’ve got an add a leaf I can throw in if need be. These are cheap enough I don’t mind trying something different.

Why? I saw he bent his all to hell at Windrock. I got mine from there because I didn't read anything bad about them and have seen on multiple forums a lot of guys getting their springs through them

    Ask @Trident904

Only guy I know that’s on his 3rd set of leafs

With how hard he hit any spring is going to bend

Brian sent the rear airborn and landed crazy. That’s on chevy leafs. The place he bought his new ones from they messed up just driving and doing basic trails in florida.

Alright, so I've canned the idea of using a 2+1 leaf pack. Found a guy who used them for an older Toyota Pickup and he complained about the severe lack of droop. I'm not putting all this effort in to a swap just to have mediocre performance. So I'll be looking for, at a minimum, the 3+1 pack.

Where did you source the leaf spring packs from for most of these swaps you've done? I'm thinking about getting them new now since there's too many variables for old springs being pulled from a junkyard. That, and all the junkyards around where I live are a rip off.

The hard part is finding the packs that the plastic silencer pads are all intact. Those parts aren’t available from chevy anymore. All you can get is the overload spring pads.

So I've got some brain picking. I am debating about getting longer shackles. I ordered my kit with the std 5" shackle. I am not looking at getting anymore lift since even with the 6" shackle I would set it to a 15-20* angle looking for more droop. Would then my 14" shocks be the limiting factor? I know I can play around with the shock mount on the axle and stuff like that to get the last little bit out of it.

What I am getting at with this is where is the point of diminishing returns with a 63 swap as far as flex and droop in regards to shock length and shackle length.

Any chance of limiting the lift to 2-2.25" with this swap? I'll have a rear HC bumper w/swingout and spare tire, but no additional weight.

Looking at a 14" 2.5 rear shock too (King or ADS), so might need a custom hoop instead of the Ford tower?...not really wanting to inboard them.

@ovrlndkull is Eddy doing the work on yours?

Text me later. I'll also tag you on a break down of what I did and cost in my build thread. There are lots of different options. You can do a billie 14" 5125 on the ford towers for more of a budget friendly option. Minimum you'll be at 3-3.5" of lift unless you go with one of the really light springs which probably won't hold up well in the long run. There are tons of spring options for the 63 swap.

I may copy @Trident904 's setup for now. Then again, buy nice or buy twice...

Only do the ford towers if you have a offset wheel like the f5s. Or run spacers

Even my AG set up with a 17x9 -12 offset wheel with a 1.5" spacer I may end up rubbing a bit with 2.5" shocks according to AG. But once it is installed and I can flex it out we shall see.

I plan on F5’s with 3.5” BS...whenever they actually are back in stock.

Look at the blem thread can get them at a decent discount there and from what I've seen you can't tell the blemishes.
