It came to me as you see above with a spacer lift, blocks in the rear, and some 33's and DESPERATELY needed some love. Over the next few months (providing the weather clears up) I'll be going over the truck completely doing some much needed maintenance & doing some minor repairs.

    Some back story..
The truck came from a good friend of mine who stopped using the truck roughly 1.5 years ago. It's been moved from time to time but spent most of its time sitting outside in the elements. It developed some minor surface rust, and some minor issues usually related to a vehicle sitting for a long period of time. It's not terrible as it only sat for a year and a half but it definitely needs some brakes, some fluids flushed, and possibly a radiator.

My plans for the truck besides basic maintenance and repairs, I do plan on turning this into something that is more than capable of anything I throw at it on and offroad. I still want to be able to drive it down the road if need be, but I definitely want it to perform well offroad. Some things I plan on doing to it are as follows..

    • Redo suspension. Coil spacers are junk, I'll be keeping it IFS (for now...) so I want to invest into some decents coils/struts and a nice setup with some decent shocks for the rear.
    • Body armor (bumpers, skidplates, rock sliders, winch etc)
    • Lockers/Gears. I'll be looking into replacing the stock gears sooner than later, as well as some lockers.
    • Wheels/Tires. I'll probably just keep the steelies that are on it now, but I will be needing tires soon! I'll be looking into a more aggressive tire (probably 33's still as I have an auto trans and as I said plan to stay IFS for now.
    • Solid Axle Swap. Might as well throw this in there because its definitely on my mind. The ultimate plan is to SAS this truck and go up to 35's or even 37's but for now I'll ride the IFS out.

As I said above I'll be diving into these issues/upgrades in the next few weeks and keeping you posted!

I also will be making an instagram to follow my progress and document anything cool I do with it once its on the road.
