What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I had it in the truck for my last camping trip, I gotta switch it out for my ka bar though. It’s definitely overkill for a truck knife

Planning on doing a quick install video on the tailgate hose clamp mod for youtube but not sure if thats a good idea what do you guys think?

Fixed my rattle cat and found the issue with the other grinding noise! No more noise!!!For now....

 

Installed 3rd Gen TRD off road 4x4 Oems, super happy with them. Got them for 350 on offer up had 100 miles on them. Good day

Well it's been a looooooong 24 hrs. I picked up a bumper last night from the Pelfreybilt auction and started prepping it for paint. Will post more as I complete this project. Here is a chunk of cold steel right after I got home at 1:30am today. I got a smoking deal and now have matching bumpers. So stoked.

Mine's an '08 so no stock wiring was present. Pretty straight forward install though.

Today.

Finished up my power tailgate set up by adding a spring loaded door popper to pop it open once the latches open.

Replaced the front turn signal bulbs with new better matching LEDs. The old ones were too yellow and looked odd. I modified a set of regular 3157 bulbs into a set of 3157ck bulbs. Way cheaper than buying 3157ck bulbs.

Replaced the rear turn signal bulbs. Went from amber LEDs to red LEDs.

Aimed my new difch lights. I’m impressed with how much more light there is with a side shooter style pod. They really do throw a ton of light to the side of the truck

Ordered new switches for the light bars and any time rear locker. Went with a custom set of CH4x4 switches.
