Just a heads up to anyone looking to do this remote start.. I bought a kit from Jeremie and couldn't be happier with the remote starter and with the service I got.. The remote start itself was super easy to 'install'. you just plug in a few harnesses. Less then 5 minutes to get the brain installed.

I have the most basic SR which didnt come with keyless entry so I ordered his package with a 4 button two way remote. I had a little trouble programming the remote(though it is actually very easy, I must have fat fingered the buttons on the remote the first time through and I had to reset the remote to start over). Jeremie messaged me back within a few minutes of me messaging him and we were on the phone a few minutes later. This was really helpful

And the price was hard to beat.. The package for trucks without keyless is always a bit more as you need to buy key fob add-on but his price was a good $50 cheaper then I had seen elsewhere for the same kit. if you are on the fence got for it.....

If you don’t have this kit jump on it. It’s great.

FYI. I removed the metal T30 bolt from the door sensors on the rear doors and passenger front door. Now I can open all those doors while the engine is still running. No codes. I get all my stuff situated, including putting my kids in their car seats then pop in the driver seat and restart the truck. Easy money.

Also, if you turn off the Auto lock timer under vehicle settings the doors don’t relock as you’re getting everyone in. Plus the overhead lights still all work.

You can accidentally now lock your fob in the vehicle, be careful about this. And the dome-lights all work as in come on and off as they’re supposed to? With out the sensors working as they should, all logic depending on this condition will not function as your vehicle now thinks the doors are always close.

If you ever get the smart phone control module, your door status will always show locked, you’ll never truly know if it’s unlocked which means you’ll have to be redundant when in doubt and click “lock” in the app again...be careful as shifting in gear warnings also depend on this sensor. There might be more, test your auto lights when done driving if they turn off and after how long, they should technically...what about when a door doesn’t shut completely on a side you don’t see, does the vehicle stop let you lock as opposed to complaining?

So are you tapping the brake then restarting or pushing the ignition PTS once, then twice to restart?

@N2DesignsInc you made a good catch about the lock feature with the smart fob.
When I said turn off the “unlock” feature, I absolutely meant lock. You can turn off the auto lock. (Get 4 options; off, 30, 90, 120 seconds) I’m sure you could do the 120 seconds if you wanted.

Second, I found you have to keep the driver door bolt and sensor all together. Unless you want to installed some switch or something, I’d rather just keep the bolt in the door as I found out that the headlights do not turn off on their own when the stalk switch turned to the auto section. (It does this cause the doors never opened, truck knows, as you know) The driver door sensor is the key to the whole system. Truck still shuts off when I open the door. With the bolt out of the driver door you still have to shut the truck off and turn it on, so might as well as keep the sensor complete.

The other three doors don't matter per say. Also, when you walk up to the truck to unlock, your map and dome lights turn on for a user specified amount of time.

Is it possible to Extend the run time while the truck is running? My old car if you wanted to have the car run longer you just pushed the start button again and the timer reset. Does this one too? I have the cell module too

No, suppose to have it to me this week to test the beta OTA. They said on their side it fixed the issue, but want a real world person to test it. As soon as I know something will definitely post.

What is wrong with the app? Mine has been working pretty good since the last update a week ago or so.

It doesn’t impact everyone. Has to do with network issues and the cell module locking up when the vehicle moves and having to be rebooted.

Dang I hoped they were fixing the timer on it. Mine says 30 minutes when I start my truck but it only actually runs for 15. 15 is fine just wish the app reflected that lol.
