I'll do a new drawer thread. I guess I can start that now...although the actual building won't begin until March-ish maybe! But you are always welcome to come by!

    UPDATE 2/16/18:

Got HALF of my BAMF hangers installed. Driver side went on and then it was a full blown snowpocalypse. I'll get the passenger side on tomorrow...with my little buddy heater....in my garage.

I’m jealous. Those are awesome. I’m too busy working on other people’s trucks to work on my own haha

Got the passenger side hanger on today and it went pretty smoothly. Drawers will probably start the weekend after next!

Nice! Were the rivets as much of a pain in the ass as everyone says?

Honestly, no. The rivets were quite easy but accessing them is a different story. I took an angle grinder to the hanger and cut off the hanging portion so i could drill straight in. That was a bit of a pain in the ass and lining up the 4 1/2" bolts for each hanger was a bit of a struggle, the rearmost bolt on the bottom of the hanger specifically. Other than those two things and the freaking snow that fell both days I did this install, it was really pretty simple.

Oh and I had to trim my dakar's which added a little time to the install.

That's good to hear. If you didn't have the shell, do you think it would have been worth it to take the bed off? Also, we haven't gotten a single bit of snow up here :annoyed:

No way! That would have been way to much work. I had plenty of room to get the drill and long bits of various sizes in between the frame and bedside. It really wasn't too hard of a job.

I do need new silencer pads for my springs after I kinda melted those cutting the leafs. Ill figure that out shortly.

I think OME sells kits for people who had dakars before they started selling them with isolators

I just got some on Amazon. They'll be there Tuesday and I can pop them in before I head to Silverton and Ouray this weekend.

    UPDATE 3/1/2019:

Lots of changes to the truck coming! I have been talking and spending a bunch of time with @upTOPoverland as he develops a new BADASS roof rack for the double cabs! He is also using my truck to develop a rack for toppers too to compliment the rack on the truck. I can't spill the beans yet, but you better prepare yourselves....

With all of that being said, I have gone hog wild on a quest to be ExpoAsFuck (#EAF). I have two 10" Baja Designs S8 light bars, a pair of flush mount S2s and a sPOD with touchscreen coming in the mail next week. In addition to enough light to outshine the sun itself, I also have MaxTrax and some other goodies coming in the mail too.

Drawers are on standby for the moment but they will be getting worked on shortly thanks to the help of a new friend with CAD software and a CNC machine

    UPDATE: 3/19/19

TONS of stuff changing with my truck at the moment. I have a bunch of pictures that I need to get uploaded. What I have done so far:
    1. BAMF HD hangers and shackles installed
    2. Help design and prototype the new @upTOPoverland Alpha xL and Alpha eX racks for the 2005+ Tacomas and short-bed caps
    3. Final install of rack with all components powder coated.
    4. sPOD Bantam with touchscreen installed.
    5. Pelfreybilt auxiliary fuse panel trimmed to accommodate easier access to sPOD Bantam that is mounted to stock engine bay fuse box.
    6. Dynamat Extreme installed on roof of truck.
    7. 3M Satin black wrap installed on roof.
What needs to be done - A LOT. I have this whole check list called "Road to Moab" and yes, it's corny but it's better than "To Do". I am heading to Moab the first week of May and I have a lot of stuff that I want to finish up before that time.
    1. install extended brake lines
    2. install all lights on upTOP rack and wire them to sPOD
    3. design, cut, assemble and install drawers (V3)
      • install onboard water
      • install tembo tusk drawer slide
      • install blue seas 12v power in bed
      • install custom switches and switch panel for bed lights and onboard water.
    4. Remove leaf pack, clean leaf pack, paint leaf pack, add a leaf, replace worn silencer pads, grease the crap out of my dakars
    5. I'd also like to powdercoat my bumper before I go to moab but I'll probably scratch it anyways
    6. help my buddies build their trucks
So yeah, just a few things really

I also ran the wire for the 12V Blue Sea power panel and @ProForce onboard water system to the back. As clean as I can do :)

Too many to list. See build page. Link in signature

There's an easier and better way to silence and maintain your springs than rebuild them periodically.... jerked/greasable bolts
