LCEngineering 2.7L 2TR-FE S/C

Well i'm kinda skeptical that this will ever happen.. Here's a link to LCE's website which seems promising. Spoke with one person a couple weeks ago who said they confirmed it was in development. Just spoke with someone today and they said they cannot confirm it's in development. Only time will tell if this is actually happening, but im not holding my breath

Let's hope LCE makes a quality s/c kit. Looking at the quality in their headers and what owners had to say about them, I am not to convinced.

 

Here's to hoping...a positive displacement supercharger would suit the 2.7 to a Tee. Both concentrate towards the low-mid rpm range...sounds like a match made in Heaven. The little thing would pull like a diesel.

None that im aware of. They told me they hoped to release it by this summer, but not sure that is gonna happen. Im now considering just making my own turbo setup. Just gotta find the right one that will provide low end where this motor needs it most

 

Chatted with someone at LCE today.. looks like magnuson is producing the kit.. Not holding my breath for the release, but if they dont do it within the next 6months or so, ill probably be going with a URD s/c

Wait... I hope this is not to be mixed up with the V6 that magnuson just announced.

 

I specifically asked them about the 2TR-FE, but i guess that could still be a possibility. I even referenced the Eaton M62 like the 1st gens are running on the 4 cylinder superchargers. Hopefully whoever i talked to wasnt just feeding me bs

 

Why buy a 4cyl just to put a supercharger? Not being combative, I'm just curious.

LOL. Is that an old tundra motor?

 

It's a 1uz that came out of a Lexus sc400. The tundra motor is a 2uz and weights substantially more being iron block.

 

what tranny you putting on it?
