Shit I wish that was a big lifter. We had that one on contract from out of Idaho for the summer. It was a 205a named Lucy .Towards the end it started having governor problems and it went back home.

Some updates on the truck. I have done a few mods to it. Including bucket seat swaps and center console fridge. But most impressive was the deep water mod. But, after it gets out of the shop. I have some dakars and a u bolt flip kit to go under it. If yall want pics I took some.

Here is just made a bracket where the factory console bolts too, then just set a piece of plywood on top that I painted with bed liner. Then the fridge sits on that with industrial velcro at the from, and a bungee at the back to hold it down20180426_142414.jpg

Thread update. Selling the flatbed. Looking for a 127 inch wheelbase frame. Gonna swap single cab onto new frame abd get a body shop to modify the original bed to a full 8 feet. Then supercharge it.

Well putting the original bed back on today. These 2nd gen single cabs are getting hard to find, so I'm going back to a stock bed before they are all gone. Gonna get a bed rack and tool boxes for now. I will prolly look for a v6 MT access cab for the flatbed to go on.

Well the flatbed is off, it is for sale locally.
    KIMG0480.jpg

I found a few frames for sale, but I am having different thoughts about extending the bed. What if I install a tool box/fuel tank combo in between the can and bed, then I can have my whole bed with a bed extender for junk

So the inner boot sits right above the breather, so it can't stick straight up. So I got this part.1552834202787-2069806496.jpg it's the brake booster vacuum fitting off of a first gen throttle body. So drill out the original breather to a 5/16 hole, press new breather into hole, and you should end up with this.1552834421691-171289462.jpg
Breather sits below boot hight. Then connect your hose and run to your desired location. The press fit of the original part should squeeze the vacuum fitting and hold it in place, I will check it later to make sure and if not I will weld it in.

I like this idea. What about using fibreglass bed sides- might be easier to lengthen. I had also though of getting an aluminum utility truck bed and modify it to fit the tacoma- lots of secure storage and you still have a bed to use.

Yeah I have already called highway products, the will build me anything I can draw up, aluminum or steel. But weight takes a tole on these 4 cylinders fast. Right now just wanting to buy a v6 manual access cab and just swap the cab over. I dunno, we will see.
