I put them in my 2018 4Runner a few weeks ago. They don’t seem quite as bright as my Tacoma but they are way brighter than the stock 4Runner halogens. Both my orders from China took a month or so to arrive. I’ve had them in my Tacoma for 2 years now and they are still going strong with no issues.

Did you use a relay harness with your 4Runner? I think these ballast maybe the same as the Xenon Depot ones where people don't use a relay harness.

I ordered on Dec 28 and the tracking number now shows it is in ISC San Francisco and scheduled to be delivered on Jan 12. So if US customs doesn't hold it up any longer it would be about 2 weeks.

Yes I used a relay harness. Better to be safe. I used the HD harness from diode dynamics.

Let us know how the warranty works out, I have had mine for about 2 years and no issues. Are you using a relay harness and are your ballasts properly secured?

Not sure, you could try swapping the ballast to see if it is that or a power issue.

I think you will be the first to deal with warranty so all eyes are on you.

They were delivered 2 days ago which makes it exactly 2 weeks.

However they sent 6000k bulbs instead of 4300k.

How much current do these ballasts draw at startup? The ballasts 3.2A as the norm but nothing about startup.

Hey guys I just install Bussmann RTMR Fuse/Relay Block and wondering if I can use 2 of the 5 relays in the waterproof housing as my HD relays? If someone has done this or can advise on how to do this would be much appreciated. I am blowing drivers side fuse so going to purchase the relay harness or use the RTMR if possible. Also diode dynamics link in string is not working is this link the correct item? :help:

Update. I've had my kit for 2.5 years now. The only hiccup I've had was about 4 months ago it will randomly not turn on 1 HID. However, if I do a quick off-on it fires right up oddly. Not bad for a cheap kit almost 3 years in.

I had the same problem (passenger side always) and solved it by putting the passenger side on its own relay for power instead of the relay on the driver side that previously powered both...no further problem for the last 2 months so far.

Got distracted by life and other hobbies. Since putting a zip tie around the wire to hold it in a position that doesn't cause the connection point to strain, it hasn't gone out on me again. I realize this is only a bandaid and still need to contact them to get the ballast swapped out.

OK so my little trick of wiggling the ballast output wire and trying to hold it in a certain spot is no longer working. I just sent an email off to hyluxtek (http://en.hyluxtek.com/Contact/) explaining the issue and requesting a new ballast. I'll let you guys know what/when I hear from them.
