    I got rear ended and according to everyone I've talked to, my tailgate is irreparable. I desperately need a new tailgate, and I looked all over craigslist and eBay, but to no avail. I am in the Seattle-Tacoma area.     Call every bodyshop around and find someone who is great at metal work. A lot of people are clueless, but some people (like paintless dent repair "PDR") are fantastic. Or sit on it and run a tailgate net. Good luck, sweet truck, and welcome to TW.

    Sorry about the accident. I’d really look for a shop can work metal and the mechanics of the tailgate.

    If guys can do this to a 53 GMC I’m sure they can work magic on your tailgate.

    Friend hooked me up with a metal shop that repaired his project cars. Plan B is car-part if they can't do anything. Thanks for your help guys! These things are hard to find.
