Do you have an pictures or tips on trimming the rear fenders? More so how did you trim and mount the support back in. You trimmed off a good a amount which was my plan. Just did 3" on the flare and 3.25" on the fender on the front and was getting ready to do the rear and realize it would cut off all the mounts for the supports. I have seen that people relocate it but have been trying to search for any posts but can't seem to find any. I have a set of 315's at the shop but always want to get it cut up for if I decide to go 37's.

can't recall what I found but you'll hear a few different ways. What worked for me was making a tool that I could draw a circle with but use it to guide the edge of the fender and draw the line. Mask it off with tape and run it along the edge. Main think you need to do it pick how much to cut off. I used a jig saw for the fenders and a dremel like tool for the flares. Turned out pretty good and then you clean it up with some edge trim Mike over at Trail Toys sells it. ill find some pictures of what I ended up with or links if I can remember to find them. Most if anything I used was linked on this site somewhere.

What’s that stuff y’all use for the trimmed flares? Some thin black stuff that covers the cuts.

Need some of that for the seams on my bike tank

Quick question. At what point did you think it was necessary to regear? I am lifting my 2015 for the first time and possibly assinf 285/70/17s. Should I expect to regear soonee rather than later?

anyone use a drum barrel to sand curve into fenders? Was recommended it

harbor freight has two. Smaller kit is $8.
    Larger drum is $30.

I assume larger is better to try achieving long curve
Instead of small one making it wavy

current trim looks kind of like this

    IMG_4498.jpg

Tentative plan is large drum on drill, 80 grit

scuff around edge where paint is coming off
    Prep
    POR15
    Edge trim

handheld belt sander though rounded at the ends might not be the tool for the job
